Our Message

Wisconsin tobacco prevention and control advocates are currently educating policymakers on these key messages:

  1. The Program has put its modest funding to good use by taking a comprehensive approach that's produced significant results in the last 10 years.
  2. The Program's comprehensive strategy drives down health care costs, making it a good investment in tough economic times.
  3. Wisconsin's kids are still targeted by Big Tobacco through aggressive marketing and new products flavored and packaged like candy. Strong local outreach and counter-marketing efforts are needed to provide education about these threats.
