The statewide tobacco-related disparities networks provide the opportunity for collaboration, sharing information, advocating and supporting each other's activities within and between each Network while addressing the tobacco-related disparities of the populations.


The Wisconsin African American Tobacco Prevention Network

Comprised of citizens, service providers, and community based organizations the Wisconsin African American Tobacco Prevention Network is dedicated to eliminating tobacco-related health disparities. The Network works closely with the underserved African American population and gives them defined policy roles within the Network to empower them to make changes.

The Wisconsin Asian Tobacco Prevention Network

The Network aggressively pursues the prevention and elimination of tobacco use, utilizing best practices while respecting the unique cultural and religious roles of tobacco. The Network partners with mutual assistance associations to prevent tobacco use, promote cessation, and eliminate secondhand smoke in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner.

The Wisconsin Hispanic/Latino Tobacco Prevention Network

This Network involves the community in the development of strategic plans and interventions to negate the effects of smoking on children, advocate for a smoke free environment and provide prevention education outreach to the Hispanic Community. The Network has provided prevention education to migrant and Hispanic adults and youth, prompted them towards taking action to make their environment smoke-free, and distributed information at Hispanic cultural events around the state.

The Wisconsin Native American Tobacco Network (WNATN)

WNATN is comprised of tribal representatives from eleven federally recognized tribes in Wisconsin. The goal of WNATN is to work toward improving the quality of life for tribal members through education, advocacy, and program development and implementation of tobacco prevention and control programs. WNATN aggressively pursues the prevention and elimination of commercial tobacco abuse, utilizing best practices while respecting the unique cultural and ceremonial use of tobacco.
